You might be itching to add some green lush foilage to your interior, but might be finding that more often than not, a quick google search reveals that your plant of choice is toxic to cats and dogs. Although indoor plants are a great way to liven up a room and do an amazing job of purifying the air for humans, it is important to know which house plants are safe for your fur babies before you invest. Some indoor plants can be harmful to your pets, so instead of searching and coming up empty handed, we have put together a list of three plants we recommend for pet owners.
Most ferns are nontoxic to cats and dogs, including the Boston fern. This fern has lush, full foliage which flows gracefully and is perfect as a hanging plant. Boston fern care is as simple as making sure the plant is in the right environment. They like lots of natural light and like to be water once a week.

This plant is a bit fussier than some other houseplants, preferring a humid environment to stay healthy. They love a good misting too. The delicate leaves may be tempting for pets to nibble — and while it won’t harm your furry baby, the plant itself is quite fragile and can easily be destroyed by an inquisitive cat. If you are having problems with yur cat chewing your Maidenhair, opt for the hanging options and hang it somewhere where they wont be able to reach.

Golden Cane Palm
Golden Cane palsm are perfect for that pop of colour and height. Known for its air-purifying effects, the golden cane palm is fairly easy to care for. It’s important not to over-water the plant, but it’s a good idea to hydrate it when the soil below the surface begins to feel dry.
