You may have noticed when you come into our shop that we will always have chrysanthemums and daisies, and that we will almost always use these flowers in our bouquets. That is because we have access to them all year round, and these flowers are incredibly long lasting. (See our recent post about chrysanthemums to learn more about them!) If you keep on top of changing your bouquet water every 2nd or 3rd day, your flowers can last up to 2-3 weeks! Long lasting flowers are our main focus here at EEFM. Though we do agree that roses are beautiful and unique, and we wouldn’t mind receiving them from our loved ones, unfortunately they just don’t last as long and aren’t as sturdy as the flowers we do stock. Roses will last up to only 1 week, if that, in comparison to a chrysanthemum’s life span of up to 3 weeks.
We have lots of beautiful alternatives here at EEFM. If you are looking for a bouquet to give to someone you love, we would suggest going with our Burgundy Bouquet, which consists of chrysanthemums, daisies, and foliage of deep, rich, red tones – perfect to warm someone’s heart! And similar to the deep rich tone of roses.
If you’re after something a little more subtle in colour, but still perfect to give to a loved one, have a look at our Vintage and Pastel Bouquets, which are both very elegant and feminine. But ultimately, our flower arrangements speak for themselves. They can mean anything to anyone. The simple act of giving someone flowers is an act of love in and of itself. Roses are stunning and have always symbolised love, but let’s change that idea and say that all flowers symbolise love. Instead of roses, give someone one of our beautiful floral arrangements to show them you love them!
