Created for AFL Gather Round 2024 in Adelaide, this large-scale floral activation transformed the venue through a series of impactful installations inspired by the textures and landscapes of South Australia. Building on the energy of the event, the floral design embraced a contemporary native aesthetic, featuring sculptural blooms, layered grasses, seasonal foliage and natural textures sourced wherever possible from local South Australian growers.

Grand entrance installations created an impressive arrival experience for guests, while thoughtfully designed table centrepieces and smaller floral moments were woven throughout the venue to create a cohesive and immersive environment. The varied floral elements encouraged guests to discover new details at every turn, bringing warmth, texture and a strong sense of place to the event.

Inspired by native grasslands and the rugged beauty of the Australian landscape, the florals balanced large-scale impact with organic movement and natural form. By championing locally grown flowers and foliage, the design celebrated not only the AFL's showcase event but also the incredible growers and producers that contribute to South Australia's thriving floral industry.
