On Giving with East End Flower Market

EEFM's charity program for 2021 For the past 6 years, East End Flower Market has been supported and lifted up by our incredible community. It’s the reason that we’ve been able to grow into the business and family that we are today.Despite the uncertainty that Covid-19 caused for so many small businesses in Australia last year, we were able to continue to serve, and be so wonderfully propped up by our community. We feel extremely grateful to have such a loyal, uplifting extended family, who allowed us to continue doing what we love, throughout a pandemic! It brought us endless joy to be the bridge between our community and their loved ones, at times when the physical distance felt further. With all...

Changes in the Industry

CHANGES IN THE FLORISTRY INDUSTRY   Like many industries around the world, floristry has taken a large financial hit over the past couple of years. In this blog post we would like to outline some of the struggles our industry has faced, so that our customers can be well informed and understand how this may impact the products bought from us.   There are so many factors as to why flower prices have dramatically increased over the past couple of years, the Coronavirus pandemic being the most obvious. EEFM x Healthcare Heroes Competition!

In February East End Flower Market launched a very exciting competition as part of our on-giving program! We wanted to spread some floral cheer and look after those that look after us by creating a competition to win a six month flower subscription.  Followers of our Instagram were encouraged to tag and nominate a healthcare hero under one of our posts and tell us what they found inspiring about them. Participants were also encouraged to sign a petition for south Australian nurses to receive  pandemic pay as monetary compensation for their...

On Giving- Triple J Hottest 100 x Lifeline

This January, East End Flower Market donated $250 Dollars towards the triple J Hottest 100 x Lifeline Collaboration.  "Lifeline is the leading provider of crisis support and suicide prevention in Australia. Suicide is the biggest killer of young Australians: in 2019 it accounted for over one-third of all deaths among 15-24s in Australia. Lifeline receives over a million calls, text messages and web chats every year (yep, that’s a call every 30 seconds), but currently cannot answer all the calls for help. Lifeline’s trained volunteers are there to listen, provide connection, compassion and hope – ultimately saving Australian lives." Each call answered from Lifeline costs $39 dollars and one call can help save a life.  Yet again, thank-you to...
